About the Treasurer's Office
The responsibilities of the Treasurer's office include collecting, investing, recording and depositing County revenues, distributing County real estate and personal property tax bills, collecting current and delinquent taxes and various other licenses and fees.
Search for your property tax balance on our Property Information site.
Want to pay your bill online? The County offers electronic bill payment through the ePayment service. It’s an easy way to save time and protect the environment.
If you prefer to pay your tax bill in person, you may pay at either the Treasurer's office or at the Satellite Services office in Toano.
For June and December real estate and personal property bills, payments mailed in will be processed through our bank’s lockbox services in Boston, Massachusetts. This will allow taxpayers’ payments to be processed more quickly and efficiently, and payments will be deposited into the County’s bank account the day they are received. The current bills include the new address for the lockbox: PO Box 844637, Boston, MA 02284-4637.
