James City County offers year round sports classes, clinics, leagues and events for youth and adults. Sport classes and clinics cater to development and foundational skills and tournaments and leagues allow for competition and friendly play. Check out the complete list of year-round programs! Please contact us if you have questions or are interested in partnering to offer a camp, class or clinic. Registration closes 1 week before program start date.

Winter Sport Classes

Registration is open for winter and spring sports classes. Registration for classes closes one week in advance of class start. Register for any programs below or find more information.

Pint-Sized Soccer Series

This soccer series engages kids of all ages and helps to develop balance, movement and soccer skills as well as provide a positive sports environment. Parents are encouraged to participate in Quart'r Pint where the focus is on honing motor skills and introducing basic elements of soccer. Half Pint focuses on individual technical development and Full Pint is designed to hone those skills and introduce dynamic team play. Sessions run Jan. 25-Feb. 22 (no class Feb. 15) and May 2-May 30. 

  • Quart'r Pint (ages 3-4 with parent), 9 a.m.
  • Half Pint (ages 4-5), 10 a.m.
  • Full Pint (ages 6-8), 11 a.m.

Tot Shots & Jump Shots 

Time to lace up the basketball shoes for this introduction to basketball. Children will focus on individual skills and learn fundamental tactics and ball-handling skills. Jump shots will introduce game play and team dynamics. 

  • Session 1: Jan. 25-Feb. 22 (no class Feb. 15)
  • Session 2: May 2-30 (no class May 23)

One on One Basketball

A combination of positive, energetic and fundamentals-based coaching while maximizing the fun of real game action daily. Taught by One on One Basketball, INC., players will learn and refine skills. Daily drills, games and competitions will keep the fun level high.

  • Ages 6-9: Feb. 29-April 18, 1 p.m.
  • Ages 10-13: Feb. 29-April 18, 2 p.m.

Multi-Sport Classes

Bring your child and let them try one of our sports sampler classes! These classes present an opportunity for children to be introduced to major sports including baseball, soccer, basketball and more. Each week introduces a new sport. Sessions run Jan. 25-Feb. 22 (no class Feb. 15) and May 2-May 30. 

  • Multi-Sport Minis (ages 3-5), 12 p.m.
  • Multi Sport Majors (ages 6-8), 11 a.m.

Elite Sports Performance Training

This program is taught by staff instructors from Athlete's Global. The program will focus on mental preparation, speed, explosion, agility, fitness, increasing strength, power conditioning training and much more. This program also implements nutritional education, leadership development homework, communication skills, self-image and team-building with others.

  • Ages 10-13: Feb. 29-March 21, 9 a.m.
  • Ages 14-18: Feb. 29-March 21, 10 a.m.
